Avoid putting stress on your spine:
Avoid rigorous activity and any extreme twisting, bending or flexing of your spine in.
Drink plenty of water:
This will help increase blood flow to the areas that are healing.
Avoid lifting heavy objects:
If you do need to lift an awkward or heavy object, bend from your knees and use your legs to lift the weight. Hold the object as close as you can.
Or, wait and ask someone to help you.
While sitting, standing and sleeping, keep a tall posture:
Avoid slumping forward, sleeping on your stomach or in a seated position, or relaxing in a twisted position.
Let the adjusted areas settle:
Avoid continually visit rubbing, probing or testing out the adjusted areas.
Do not try to manipulate/adjust areas again.
Follow your chiropractor’s advice:
This may include exercises, applying heat or ice packs, treatment plans, X-rays, diet advice, supplementation or referrals to other health professionals.
